My story
Namaste!
I’m Mehak — or Kaori-chan, as the locals call me.
I was born in India, where yoga first found me — and somehow, that path led me all the way to Japan. A country I never planned to move to, but one that quietly became home.
When I first thought of Awarenest, I imagined a space where people could return to themselves — to breathe, slow down, and reconnect.
As a child growing up in New Delhi, every “scenery” I drew looked the same: mountains, a small house, a river, and a few trees. All my friends drew it too, even though Delhi looks nothing like that. Maybe it was a collective memory — a quiet longing we didn’t yet understand.
And now, I find myself living inside that picture.
That’s what the Japanese countryside feels like to me — a gentle reminder that what we imagine as children might be what our soul remembers.
Japan gifted me three words that changed my life: anzen (safety), onsen (hot springs), and shizen (nature). Through them, I fell in love with this land and found my own sense of Zen.
Awarenest was born from that blend of Indian wisdom and Japanese simplicity — a space for awareness, healing, and just being.
I’m excited to share that with you — so you can find your own version of Zen.
