My story
I’m Mehak — or Kaori-chan if you ask the locals. I was born in India and now rooted in Japan. Through yoga and cultural exchange, I create spaces where the vibrancy of Indian tradition harmonizes naturally with the quiet strength of Japanese wisdom.
My journey to Japan was completely unplanned. Ten years ago, I landed here without knowing a single word of Japanese. No language, no roadmap — just curiosity and trust in life’s flow.
And life responded with onsen (hot springs) shizen (nature), and anzen (a deep sense of safety). These three elements became the rhythm of my life or my Zen.
For me, Yoga and conscious living became the pathway back to that inner home. They grounded me, healed me, and helped me navigate cultures, identities, and transitions.
And now, I want to share that offering with others.

Welcome to Awarenest. Your nest is ready.
Awarenest — Aware+Nest — is a sanctuary I created for anyone seeking reconnection.
A place to:
-
Relax, reset, and rediscover your inner rhythm
-
Explore your body and mind with curiosity, not pressure
-
Be playful, vulnerable, still, or wild — all is welcome
Whether you greet the sun with Ohayō Morning Yoga or unwind with Oyasumi Night Yoga, each class is designed to help you tune back into your body, breath, and being.
To deepen the journey, we also offer sound baths, massage, and healing therapies — nurturing all layers of the self.
A Space for Community & Celebration
As a foreigner myself, I know how isolating it can feel to live away from home. That’s why Awarenest is more than a studio — it’s a community nest.
We host festivals, gatherings, and cultural celebrations open to all — bridging people through joy, ritual, and shared presence.
Let's Connect!
